Make your own Jam Labels

I am of the mindset that if you google enough times, then you will find an answer. An answer to what? Well, an answer to whatever you are wanting to learn, whether it be how to change the brake lights in your car or how to best fire up a charcoal grill (yup, did both recently). This week I did a number of google searches on “how to make mason jar labels” and came up with a number of options. Here is my favorite and I had to share it: http://www.jamlabelizer.com.

How I didn’t come across this site sooner is beyond me. It’s fantastic—you enter in your details such as the kind of jam, the name of your company (or blog or your address or whatever), the date you made your jam, and any other details you’d like to include and a personalized label is ready to go. Save it to a jpeg, load it to a batch of labels and you are ready to print!

The site offers a variety of styles and a few colors for each style. I found that a few label designs are free, then there is another tier which asks you to join as a premium member for $5. I chose the free labels and I love them!

You are not limited to using these labels for jam; perhaps you could make party or wedding favor labels. My next version might be bookplates for my son’s growing library of books or for fancy return address labels. But for now, I am sticking with the mason jar labels for what I am hoping is a summer and fall full of adorable mason jars filled with all sorts of goodness!

I'm thinking it would be a great way to make stickers to put on cake boxes.

Thanks so much for leaving a comment. Due to a flood of spam Anonymous comments I am going to moderate comments to see if that cuts back on the problem.
