Whatever the case where you live, think about giving your teachers a small thank you gift that is not only nice to receive but useful as well. Hopefully this gift fits that criteria. Spring is in bloom and thoughts turn to gardening. Fill a gardening pot or container with gardening gloves and seeds, add a thoughtful quote or sentiment, and present it to your child’s teacher.
This gift idea lends itself to a class gift in which all the children can participate. You could ask each student to contribute one small item related to gardening then add all of the gifts to one large basket or terra cotta planter. Seeds, gloves, small shovels and spades, even potting soil would all make a lovely presentation.
If there isn’t a specific day for Teacher Appreciation in your child’s school, this would make a cheerful end-of-the-year gift too. I’ll include the card I created too which can be printed as a gift tag. Click HERE for the 4x6 printable.

This is adorable, Holly!! I love the magnetic letters...they're my fave. I'm like you, I can't remember having teacher appreciation week/day set aside. But, I'm glad they do it now. I'm partly in charge of it for my younger son's school this year and am loving all of these ideas out there!! Thank you again for helping me hit my milestone!! So humbled and honored {and kind of amazed}! Have a wonderful day!!

I remember having teacher appreciation day in high school.. maybe I didnt pay attention before then. I love this one too.. the magnetic letters are so smart!
ReplyDeleteHi Kelley, I love the thought of magnetic letters but these are only stickers. I originally put them on thinking I'd spray paint the container and then take the stickers off, but I liked the bright color that the stickers added and stuck with that idea, leaving the spray paint for another time. thanks for your comment!
